It’s not often that you get a tear out of me, it takes a lot for me to cry in movies, for example. But on Saturday morning at Ballpark Village, this girl was fighting back a few tears during the first ever Cardinals Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Sometimes you take things for granted, sometimes it’s easy being a Cardinals fan and basking in the fruits of the franchise labor and accomplishments. But Saturday allowed us to count our blessings and show appreciation for the players that have given the best fans in baseball some of their sweeties memories. I found myself getting chills as I watched the video tributes to the four Hall of Fame inductees, Marty Marion, Mike Shannon, Jim Edmonds and Willie McGee.
I was honored to see the ceremony, the acceptance speeches and the former players wear their new red jackets at a reception that followed and I have to share that with Cardinal Nation. I feel blessed to work with both the Cardinals and the “home of the Cardinals.”
Sometimes you need those moments or events to remind you, you are apart of something special. What a community Cardinal Nation is!
