One of the big reasons I am proud to be a part of the Cardinals organization is all of their work in the community. The fans connect with that mission and it shows the caring personality that the club embodies. There isn’t a month that goes by that I don’t do a story about Cardinals in the community.
This week I did several stories about the players’ and the organization’s community initiatives, all of which I was proud to help showcase through these #CardsInsider pieces. All of the #CardsInsider videos can now be found on the new #CardsInsider video channel at Cardinals.com!
This was a fun project to work on, of course, because I was able to sample delicious cupcakes. But it was also a fun video to produce — planning out how to capture the making of the yummy new treats, while explaining the charity concept behind them.
We also took the opportunity to update fans on the injury status of both Matt Holliday and Adam Wainwright, who attended the golf event, on #CardsInsider.
It was so good to be able to see Jason Motte back out in the St. Louis community. I had the pleasure of working with him last season while he was still pitching for the Cardinals — he is a great example of what it means to use your platform for good.
The Wizard was so kind to give one lucky fan a private tour of the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum. He always takes time for the fans and it was cool to see him connect with them as they took a trip through Cardinals history.
